Pesarattu

This dish has been a recent entry into my kitchen. I must thank my friend for introducing this to me, as it is highly nutritious and a real yumm dish. And the best part is it is easier than making Dosa. Pesarattu is an Andhra dish made out of green moong dal. You could even call it green dosa,if you find it hard to spell out P-E-Sa-Ra-Ttu.

You need
Green moong dal - 2 cups
Rice - 2 teaspoons
Green chillies - 3-4
Ginger - A medium piece.
Salt
Oil

Method
  • Soak the green moong dal and rice for about 6-8 hrs in required amount of water.
  • Add the green chillies and ginger to the moong dal and grind it with required water to bring it to dosa batter consistency.
  • Add salt to taste.
  • Make the Green dosa's on your dosa pan just the way you make normal dosas.
  • Serve hot.
